CJ Lee & Associates PC was founded by Mr. Calvin Lee, Jr. He is a member of the Navajo Nation and a graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Law. Mr. Lee started in Computer Science and worked at corporate firms such as Electronic Data Systems in Southfield Michigan and American Express in Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Lee attended college and graduate programs in Colorado and the University of Michigan. He obtained proficiency in the SAS System statistical programming language and several computer languages while working in the professional ranks of the Indian Health Service and public health before embarking on a law career.

Mr. Lee has worked at the State of New Mexico Public Defender office in Santa Fe, NM, DNA People’s Legal Services, Inc., in Window Rock, AZ, and the Navajo Nation Legislative branch. Mr. Lee has spoken at seminars on Indigenous People’s human rights and Navajo law on topics ranging from estate planning to legal marketing. He founded his firm with a purpose towards helping Indigenous individuals and their organizations throughout Indian Country.

Many individuals come to know our firm from our many clients, i.e., word of mouth. We also advertise on Facebook and Avvo. We are listed in the local Navajo Nation phone book. We love to hear from our repeat clients and we have a long standing relationship with family owned LLCs.

We have Navajo speaking staff and we assist elders with estate planning (i.e., wills) but also with probate matters. CJ Lee & Associates regularly assists elders, veterans and low-income persons with legal needs on a pro bono basis. Mr. Lee is an accredited attorney with the Veterans Administration and is capable of representing veterans before the VA regarding benefits and related matters.

Mr. Lee has a life outside of law and routinely spends time mountain biking, volunteering and donating to Catholic Relief Services as well as other non-profits. Mr. Lee and his staff encourage young professionals and assists them with professional development, particularly through public speaking (Toastmasters). Mr. Lee is a Catholic attorney and is a member of the Sacred Heart Parish in Gallup, NM.
